Cabinet Secretary at Applegirth

Cabinet Secretary visits Applegirth Estate

The Cabinet Secretary for the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, Roseanna Cunningham MSP, has visited a forestry site and met with farming tenants on the Applegirth Estate.

The visit was an opportunity for the Cabinet Secretary to learn more about the Estate, and to discuss the legislation on the Scottish Crown Estate with tenants as it moves through Parliament.

Following a visit to a mixed livestock and a dairy farm, the Cabinet Secretary met with Gordon Hill, Programme Leader at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC). The SRUC use Crown Estate woodlands at Applegirth for their forestry apprencticeship, as well as short courses in chainsaw felling.

The Cabinet Secretary has previously visited both the Glenlivet and Whitehill Estates, and met with a number of our tenants and partners.
